Cresentia is a 21-year-old lady from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe studying a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics. While she works towards her degree, she enjoys exploring her interests in machine learning, game development, and web development. Her love of cartoons inspire her creative interests and during Global Game Jam Bulawayo she contributed to not one, but two games: ‘Ultimate Repair’ and ‘Repair and Test Drive’. What kind of games do you enjoy playing?

I enjoy playing runner games like Temple Run and Subway Surfers.

What was your favorite part about Global Game Jam?

My favorite part of the game jam was the designing of the characters.

How did you contribute to the games Ultimate Repair and Repair and Test Drive?

In Ultimate Repair, I contributed through storytelling and also in design, while in Repair and Test Drive I helped by choosing assets.

How did you feel contributing to two games over the weekend instead of one?

Contributing to two games was a great experience for me. It felt really good and it was an exciting story to tell.

What were your favorite design contributions to the games?

Designing the bad guys.

Are you looking forward to participating in Global Game Jam 2021?

Yes I’m looking forward to the next game jam.

What will you do differently in next year’s Global Game Jam?

In the next game jam l will try to manage my time efficiently to reduce bugs.

What would you like to see more of in the game development industry in Africa and the global industry?

l would like to get more encouragement from the community.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us? A fun fact about yourself?

l like cartoons and that is where l get my ideas from. The main character Johnny in Ultimate Repair was named after me. Johnny is my nickname.
